Manage your diabetes
Keep your blood glucose level, blood pressure, and cholesterol in check.
Check your feet everyday
Look for cracks in the skin, sores or redness, numbness, or any tingling sensation.
Wash your feet everyday
Use warm, not hot water. Do not soak your feet, as this will dry the skin.
Wear shoes that fit well
Be sure there is enough room to wiggle your toes.
Keep your feet moisturized
Do not apply lotion or cream between the toes.
Check your shoes before putting them on
Pebbles or rough seams can cause sores.
